Sam joined Excelsior during its initial formation in May 2019, and he is responsible for the acquisition, underwriting and asset management processes. Prior to joining the Excelsior team, Sam worked as an Associate at Priam Capital where he assisted in the due diligence and underwriting of over $130 million in acquisitions. During his time at Priam he was also responsible for the asset management of half the company’s portfolio, totaling over one million square feet of office space. Sam has also worked with two real estate firms in his hometown of San Antonio: Birnbaum Property Company and Travis Commercial Real Estate Services, LTD, where he worked with the Leasing and Investment Sales teams.

Sam earned his B.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Georgia and his Masters of Real Estate from Texas A&M. He is REFM certified and is a member of multiple philanthropic organizations in San Antonio.
